Word of Life Bermuda is an incorporated Christian mission organization committed to reaching youth with the gospel of Jesus Christ. We are a local charity serving and training leaders from a number of churches across our nation to have effective and dynamic local church youth ministries.

Word of Life Bermuda works in fellowship with Word of Life Fellowship Inc. of Schroon lake, New York, U.S.A. We share a common mission and purpose and enjoy the benefits of international association and cooperation. Word of life International ministers to youth in sixty-nine (69) countries world wide and is best known for exciting Christian camping, Bible institutes, local church training and evangelism.

Our Bermuda ministry began in 1987 as a corporation effort with Word of Life, U.S.A. Missionaries serviced Bermuda, training locals to expand the ministry. In 1991 our National Director Mark Hall became the first Bermudian with Word of Life and was joined a few years later by Edward Lightbourne, and in 2006 by Paul Heffernan (who has since gone on to be the Pastor at The Evangelical Church of Bermuda).

The local Word of Life staff has grown now to six full time staff members and three interns who host island wide youth events, conduct teen clubs in four local churches, train leaders and service seven local churches. All of our missionaries are supported by the free will gifts of Christians who make regular donations. We appreciate all who support and pray for our ministry as part of the extended Word of Life Bermuda family.

General Statement

The purpose of Word of Life Fellowship International is the evangelization and discipleship of youth through various means consistent with the Holy Scriptures to strengthen and build up the church of Jesus Christ.

Our goal is not only to provide a quality discipleship program, but also leadership training. Word of Life missionaries work closely with local church pastor, youth pastor, and lay leaders to provide leadership training throughout the year. This is done through orientation classes, planning sessions, training seminars, and period club visits.

Our goal is to reach the youth of your area through the local church.
