Taking God's Tools To Task

 John 16:23-33

Jesus said; "whatever you ask of the Father in my name, He will give it to you." And "I do not say to you that I will ask the Father on your behalf; for the Father, Himself loves you, because you have loved Me and have believed that I came from God." - Jesus is saying here we are to ask God the Father directly to give us all that we need to do Jesus' work and will on earth.

Application:

Lord, help us to make the adjustments in our thinking of what Jesus has given us in a relationship with God, The Father. Help me to recognize the readiness of God to meet our needs as we do the work of Christ. We are not doing this work for You, but it's God pouring His limitless resources through our lives to do His work. This is not of ourselves. The Holy Spirit needs to help us see this reality more clearly.

"For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast." -Ephesians 2:8-9
