I love how much this passage talks about the grace of God. Yesterday, Paul focused on who we were before Christ entered our lives. We were dead in our trespasses, following the course of the world and did everything to gratify fleshly desires. We were roaming in darkness; lost, confused and restless. No matter how hard we tried, we could not escape nor could we save ourselves. But God, by grace through faith saved us from the depths of our despair. It is this grace, which is so deep and so rich that compels us to want to serve God and do the works which He has prepared for us.
Romans 5:2 tells us that through Jesus Christ, "we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God."
"Grace, grace, God's grace, grace
God's
Riches
At
Christ's
Expense
